AT&T Wireless users have all the same perks and pooh-poohs as Cingular users, which means they can take advantage of MyMEdia if they so wish. When you signing up, members get superior selections and save up to 40% (if you get the highest costing subscription plan) based on the cost of buying wireless services separately. There are three intensities of membership: Starter Pack, Super Saver and Premium Player. Users are allowed to upgrade at any time and save (spend) more money, and users can preview ring tones on the website before purchasing them on their mobile.
For $5.99 a month, you can get a Starter Pack, which gives you 15 credits to fool around with. Used most efficiently, you can save up to 20%. By using this package deal, you tend to save about $1.49.
At just $9.99 a month, you can be a super saving machine as a Super Saver. The total number of credits in this deal is double the number in Starter Pack and by choosing wisely where to spend those extra credits, you can save up to $4.95.
For a mere $14.99 a month, a Premium Player gets 50 credits and saves up to $9.97 if he or she plays his or her credits right.
Excuse my interruption in this sales pitch, but who needs 10 ring tones per month? I know I wouldn’t. Even though you can use the credits to purchase graphics or games, I don’t know if I could use it all up in a manner that wouldn’t make me constantly rethink my membership level. Ridiculously enough, if you don’t use the credits, you lose the credits. If you don’t use up your credits by the end of the billing month, then they don’t roll over.
If cell phone games just aren’t your style, you can join the Tone Club instead. It’s like MyMEdia, only just for ring tones and graphics. You can get a combination of three new ring tones and/or graphics a month for $5.99 or six new ring tones and/or graphics a month for $9.99. You save 20% and 30% respectively, and can switch over to MyMEdia at anytime if you are feeling playful.
