The Samsung Ringtones Club has a large collection of True Tones and Poly Tones. Fortunately for fanatics of the unusual, this collection includes selections by Weird Al Yankovic.
This seventeen song collection has such new and hot material as “White and Nerdy” while mixing things up with classic Weird Al hits such as “Fat” and “Smells Like Nirvana”. I would personally be delighted to have any of these ringtones as my ringtone. Alas, I don’t have a Samsung phone. Well, I’ll keep it in mind the next time my phone needs to be updated.
If Weird Al Yankovic isn’t your thing (in which case I think your sense of humour may have taken a vacation), then there is a lot of other material to keep you happy. There are the usual genres to browse through at sfc.moviso.com (that stands of Samsung Fan Club). It is important to remember that not all selections will work and all handsets, but if you create an account and log in with your phone information, you can browse for only those files that are compatible with your phone. This is a good idea, seeing as no one likes finding something great just to learn they can’t have it. It is best to not know that something exists rather than to know and not be able to do anything about it.
The Polyphonic Tones are of the usual quality you expect – synthetic representations of works that are sort of recognizable. But one else’s polyphonic tones are any better. I don’t think Afroman intended “Because I Got High” to sound like it was being played on the trumpet, but you never know with that guy.
The Voice and SFX section has such a wide variety of stuff that it should really be called Miscellaneous. There are Celebrity Tones, Screen Tones, Laff Tones (The internet just loves to spell things incorrectly, doesn’t it?), Movie Quotes, Comedy Tones and Name Ringers, just to name a few on the Voice side of things. As for the SFX side of things, there categories including (but not limited to) Nature noises, Horror renditions, Sports, Transportation and Holiday Fun.
All in all, you should be able to find something for your Samsung on this great site, so don’t immediate start surfing the web until you have checked it out.
